As perfectionists, we go the extra mile to make sure your song is exactly what you had envisioned and hope to provide some peace of mind in its release. Our music services start at $20 per song and turnaround time is 3 to 14 days depending on the services you choose. All projects include two free revisions that allow you to tweak your mix, and we use Source Connect Now to send our mix directly to you at no extra cost. This is an amazing way to listen to your mix in real time together so we can edit as we go into our meeting.
For music or soundtracks that are over 5 minutes, please contact me directly for rates and your project budget. We are open to negotiate a budget and make your project work.

Streaming Delivery
Vocal tuning is an art that should not be thought of a crutch. Tightening up a drum set, cleaning a bass track, or adding reverb and delay is the same as applying Melodyne to your tracks. Correctly tuning a song results in a natural, seamless track that allows a vocalist to focus on portraying their emotions and message without compromising that perfect pitch. It can also be used as a creative tool, the synthesized vocoder, such as 2pac’s hit “California Love”, that uses harsh pitch correction to sound interesting and intentional. You have an awesome recording of your stems, but don’t know the best way to clean and comp your stems before you deliver it to your mixing engineer. When editing, we go over takes with the producer or artist in real time to determine and line up the best performance of every line, clean all stems with forensic noise reducing software, and create a basic mix to deliver to your mixing engineer.

When mixing we balance and spread out a song, adding effects to bring out the best characteristics of each track and creating room in a mix to ensure that the nuances of each track are never being buried. We adjust levels, EQ, panning, and insert audio effects to create a cohesive, original sound. Our goal is to make your song memorable, with your intended emotion unmistakable, and mixed down perfectly for the mastering engineer.

Mastering is the last creative step of the recording process before it is duplicated all across the world. At the start, the producer and artist have a vision of how they want their project to sound. The master engineer is responsible for retaining their vision while tweaking a mix for each platform (CD, Spotify, iTunes, Youtube, SoundCloud). It is the mastering engineer’s job to make sure the final mix, the timing between songs, the overall volume of each song, and the song order is set up for duplicating and publishing.

This picture is a throwback to my partner and me trying to get a clear voice over recording before our room had proper acoustic treatment. Similar to building a fort out of pillows and blankets back in the day, we decided to build a vocal booth fort. SDLC Audio podcast post production services have several packages to choose from for cleaning your vocal track. Broadcast Quality
The Basic package includes me establishing the beginning and ending of your episode, adding intro and outro bumpers, sponsor messages, and music (that you will provide), as well as editing and cleaning three provided time stamps you would like me to go over. I will then mix and master your podcast to broadcast standards.

The Standard package provides all services of the basic package as well as a live review of every second of RAW audio you submit (up to 60 minutes). During this process I will edit filler words, outtakes, mistakes, long pauses, sneezes, coughs, throat clears, resets, or anything else you determine to be potentially distracting to your listeners and mix a conversational feel. I will also clean up the recording’s background and room noise using forensic noise reducing software.

Post Production Services
At SDLC audio, we are dedicated to crafting immersive soundscapes and visionary storytelling with our sound library. We create every sound from scratch from our field recording equipment and sound design critical elements.
Our Audio Post Production services are open to take on any budgets and discuss what we can do to make your project come to life. Turn around time depends on the type of content, and all work includes unlimited revisions because we believe that just like the picture, all aspects of the sound should be fine tuned to perfection. At the moment we are using Source-Connect Now to reference audio sources directly from Pro Tools, but we will also transfer the project to producers and meet over Zoom or Skype to listen to feedback and work on our DAW.
